Baby Stocking #2!!

We found out as soon as we got back from Allie's wedding in Missouri that we were expecting our 2nd child and found out on February 7th, 2013 that it was another BOY!! We're going to name him Beckham Wade. We are so excited--especially Brandt. He can't wait to have a little brother. For now anyways. We will see when he actually gets here. Haha. My due date is June 26th but they will do another c-section on June 20'th. I am 31 weeks and already so ready for it to be here! This time seems much more miserable than the first pregnancy. I haven't been sick at all but it's just so much more uncomfortable it seems like. We are done after this though--two is plenty for us!! I changed Drs to Dr. Hennan at the Duncan Women's Center and I love her. She is so nice and attentive and their new birth center is so much better than Lawton where I had Brandt.

I just can't wait to hold that little boy in my arms. Kristen is also expecting her third boy due April 24th so any day now! There are going to be 5 boys at Christmas this year when we all get together. Talk about a mad house! I can't wait though!

The rest of 2012

We did lots of fun things in 2012. Caleb's family had a family reunion at Beavers Bend in July. Brandt had so much fun with all of his cousins. It was a really nice place and I look forward to going back sometime. 

    

    We went to Missouri for Allie and Michael's wedding in October. It was so beautiful--the reception was probably the best I've ever been to. It was so good getting to see everyone and we got to meet Lauren's newest baby boy Christian for the first time. He was only two weeks old!! 

    Brandt got to go on his first field trip with preschool to the Orr Family Farm in OKC. He rode the ponies, and went on a hayride and got to pick out his own pumpkin. They also got to go to the Post Office later on and he thought that was just awesome because it was his first time riding on the school bus. Lol. He is loving Pre-school and Im so glad that he has the opportunity to go to such a great place and learn so many new things. 

 

   

10 Year Highschool Reunion

We had our 10 year Highschool reunion in July 2012. I can't believe we have already been out of school ten years!! It was a blast and I wish we could have one every year! It was at the Country Club and then afterwards everybody went to Wallstreet. It was great seeing everyone!

Long time, no post

Wow, I can't believe it's already been a year since I have posted anything. Oops!! So many things have happened in the last year. Probably the most exciting thing was getting our new house built. We moved out of our rent house in June 2012 and had to move in with my parents since our house still wasn't finished. We lived there about a month and finally got to move in our new house at the first of August 2012. We weren't so happy with our builder but our house ended up turning out beautiful and we love it! Caleb and Brandt love it out here in the country but I've definitely proved to be more of a city girl. I was so used to everything being right around the corner and so convenient to just run go get something if you needed to and now everything takes at least 15 minutes to get to. I know that's not alot but it has taken some getting used to. That and all the creepy crawlies out here!! We had to deal with lots of spiders and scorpions last summer after moving in and they are already starting again which Im not ready for!! I hate them!!! First time I see a snake I'm outta here!! It still doesn't feel real that this beautiful home and all this land is really ours--We are so blessed!!

My Baby is 3!!

I cannot believe that Brandt is already 3--time certainly does fly! He is all of a sudden such a little grown up too. He's fully potty trained so thats a huge accomplishment! We didn't have a party for him this year because we decided to take him to Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine instead. We ended up just having a small get together with cake and balloons with my parents one night the weekend before Caleb had to leave for work since he wasn't going to be here on Brandt's actual birthday. It was bitter sweet just like all of the holidays have been since Lynda wasn't there to share it with us. She would've been so proud of Brandt. Then at the spur of the moment Lauren decided she was going to come down with Melissa with the boys and stay with us. They ended up getting here on Brandt's birthday so that was fun. The boys had fun playing outside and we even had a picnic at the park. It was so good to see them!

On March 31st we took Brandt to Great Wolf Lodge and I can honestly say I don't think Ive ever seen him have as much fun as he did there! It made my heart smile to see him so happy. Ive never seen a kid go down a water slide that many times! He played in the water for a good 6 hours straight that first day and then for another couple of hours the second day. I wasn't sure if it would be worth the money because I didn't know if he would even like it or not but it was definitely worth every penny! After we left the water park we went and ate at the Rainforest Cafe inside Grapevine Mills and then took him to the Aquarium that was inside the mall. We walked around a little bit more but by that time he was worn smooth out and ended up falling asleep in his stroller! It was a great weekend with my little family!!

Easter 2012

We had kind of a different Easter than normal this year because my mom had total knee replacement surgery last week and just got out of the hospital Friday so she isn't feeling too great. Usually we have a big lunch and then hunt Easter Eggs with Brandt but this year we couldn't do that. And Caleb was gone so it was kind of a bummer. I helped at the check in desk at church so I didn't even get to go to the church service but I was able to take communion after it was over so that was good. Brandt had an Easter party and Egg Hunt at school on Thursday so I went to that and he had a blast. I'm so glad that I serve a risen Savior! "My God's not dead, He's surely alive, He's living on the inside roaring like a lion". That song has been stuck in my head all day.

Progress on our new Home!!

They poured the foundation for our new home at the end of December and things have been moving pretty fast ever since. They just got the cabinets and the interior doors installed this past week. The builder said we should be able to move in by the end of May so I am beyond excited!! We sold our house back in November and were lucky enough to find a nice rent house in a good neighborhood to rent while we were building. Now the end of our lease is here and we are going to move in with my parents until the house is finished to save a little bit of money so that way we won't be paying rent, bills plus the interest on our construction loan. Every time I go out there to look at our new home I cannot believe that it's ours..that Im actually going to get to live there--its so surreal! We are so blessed. I can't wait until it's finished to have everyone over!
